Roman Music Workshop

Pupils from Hope and Chirbury Primary Schools came together at Hope School on 7th June to take part in a workshop on Roman music. Dot Atkin of the county music service led the session. Click here to hear the podcast.  Be patient! It might take a little while to load (but it’s worth the wait!)

Wow - this sounds like fun, perhaps the Romans sang us Brits into submission!!

Just by coincidence, there is a school in Glasgow also looking into Roman music. They made a podcast but didn’t know what the music would be like. They’ve also teamed up with a primary school in Aberdeen. Maybe THREE heads would be better than one. Get in touch with them here:

Thanks for your comments on our blog about our Roman podcast. We really enjoyed making our podcast.
We though your podcast was great it was really good to find out about Roman music.
