You know how Mr Rowe likes free software! Well if you like using Lego have a look at this.

If you download the free program, you are able to design your own lego houses using lots of different bricks. You can save your models, or print pictures of them.

I would be really interested to know how you get on with this software. I don’t think that many schools have used it yet, but I reckon you could use it to design some brilliant models!

Just a quick tip - when you are designing a house, think about the angle you are looking at it from. It is usually easier to look down on top of the house (a bird’s eye view) when you are building the walls and then rotate the design to check everything is looking OK. Good luck!

By the way, I think your blog is excellent. In fact it made me think I should set up my own - primarydt.ethink.org.uk - which is for everyone involved in design and technology in primary schools.

Hallo Class 2

BlockCAD is great fun - I haven’t played with it for years. Another option is LeoCAD, but I think BlockCAD is easier from what I remember.
