School Councils - Have your say
28 11 2006Class 2 have been looking at persuasive writing and looking at advantages and disadvantages of school councils.
What do you think? Should all schools have a council?
If you don’t go to Hope School, we’d especially like to hear your views. Has your school got a council? What sort of things does it do?

I am totaly agenst it becuse there is nt much problemsin this school and what if bully/bullyed is on the council? and I do not thinck we should have one.
I think we should deffenently not have a school council because,
theres no point because our school is to small and we are to young,
we’ve got good behaviour and there is not any problems with our school,
and also not every one is on the school council in England so i deffenetly think that we should not have a school council.

I think it is not a good idea to have a school council beacuse were too small, It might cause argements, It gets forgotten about after while, Won’t be fare to other people, Might cause people to bully people into doing stuff for them.
I think we should definetley have a school councel. If we did not hav e one then there could be bullying, accidents, and other peoblems that people may have. Why should people worry? Finally, if there is a school councel, the behaviour will be much better.
Well I am totally against a school council because there is absolutally no point and we are to small aswell as we have no problems to talk about another one of my points is it also stops after sometime like a lot of things do in our school.
Hardly anyone will get a go at being a school counciler. We also have no bad behaviour because we’ve got an outstanding in school behaviour at our school.
We just don’t need one at all in our school consequentle we have gt a very good head teacher who we can talk to so we don’t need a school council in our school.
Well I think that we should not have a school council.
Why? Firstly we are to small to have one and we only have two classes and secondly we have no problems any way and we had outstanding. Finally they are going to do is sit any say nothing.
Also it will only happen if theres somthing needed. Is there a piont to have a school council?
A school council in Hope school is not a good idea.
Firstly because the school dosen’t have any bullies or problems on school trips or inside the school premises. Also, if Hope school did have a school council there wouldn’t be anything to talk about. Do people honestly think a school council would be needed if there is nothing to talk about? Children would be bored silly wasting playtimes they need in council meetings because the government says children must have at least one hour of exercise every day.
I’m totaly against the school concil.
I do not think a school concil will be good in a school like ours. Firstly we’re only a small school and we don’t have any bullys or bullying on school trips our inside the school gates. Plus if Hope school hade a concil there would be nothing to talk about. Do people think we should have a school concil and would it be good? And if we hade a concil there wouldn’t been anything to talk about.
I think that we should have not started school councils because most people are not instested in council.

because no one mosts people don’t like school councils because some people have smell school and also people do bullying and call name at each other at

A bully could be on it.
I dont think that school should have a school council. Because like sam said the bully could be on it, and we dont have any problems. Also if we had any problems or worries we can go to the worry box, there isent just that, there are quite a phew sitems in school already. Another thing is, that where to small a school, to have one.
I think all schools should have a school coucil they help the children.
