I’ve just spotted your Moon Phase badge.
Eat your heart out Patrick Moor! As a boy of around 11 in the very, very, early 1960’s I was given a book by Patrick Moor called Young Astronomer (I think that was the title - its a long tome ago) and have been fascinated by the night sky since then. In 1961 I was looking forward to the total eclipse of the sun in 1999!
Your moon diary work looks very interesting. Are you as excited by it as I was at your age? Can you tell me what a Blue Moon is, and how often they happen?
I’ll keep watching both the moon and the Hope Blog.
