RACING ROCKETS TAKE TOP OF THE LEADERBOARD!

Hope school rockets are the first in the country. The school is competing for a £500 prize. No school has yet been put down on the top ten flights except for Hope C.E. Primary.

Last week, in an eggs-citing D.T. lesson Class 2 pupils had fun firing rockets to compete and hopefully win a national young engineers competition known as the ‘eggs factor.’
Hope school has been split up in to six teams so Hope has a good chance winning. According to their teacher, Mr. Rowe, only the 1st, 2nd and 3rd will get prizes. Teams have to try and get their egg the furthest without breaking. Every team in Britain is competing for a £500 prize. This is what Jack Pope of Hope C.E. had to say about it; “I enjoyed making the rocket, but I’m even more excited because our team is on top of the leader board with our rocket, the Rooster Booster.”
The competition will end at Easter so other schools have to hurry. On the eggs-factor website a video clip of the rocket flights can be seen together with the leader board. More Information can also be read from the young engineers website about the rules and approved components visit www.youngeng.org.
