Elephants
15 05 2007Fay is looking at elephants for her starting point project.
Here’s her poem
THE TREK
Plodding, slowly, carefully along the dusty, sandy plains of Asia,
The long and tedious journey near it’s end,
Mother and son with their throats as dry as their grey skin,
Their large ears flapping around, trying to keep the flies away,
The Giraffes and Rhinos near the end of their trek, as well,
Shimmering sun makes the sand sparkle,
The Elephants look up as the clear blue Oasis came into sight,
The pair of Elephants run to finish last few metres of the trek,
The warm water satisfied the throats of the parched Elephants,
They spray themselves with water and celebrate with the other animals at the end of the trek.
Not all work can be stuck in a book, so click here to see here to see her animation.

hi fay
like your animation those elephants are classic! maybe you could stop repeating it and add more animation on.
mattie and elin!
Wow Fay that was really good! my favourite line in the poem was the first one because it gives you a good picture of what is happening
Wonderful poem - well done. It painted a picture in my mind
