Hunting

The moon glowed in the dark sky like a goast just sitting there ready to make someone spring out of there skin if they came to close. As me and my friends with are rifles and backpacks full of bullets strolled to there ground. Going this way and that way we grew nearer and near to those annoying cats. Those leopards those irritating, disturbing pests. Who take are animals and flatten are crop which we know can’t eat just because they want to sun bath.     “We better rest for a bit of sleep if we gonna get em blighters” groaned a tall man with a ragged tea shirt the largest of the rucksacks who I gather was the leader of the group. That night we slept only to find we were woken up two hours later and the whole seven hunters ‘including me’ still wanted some more sleep just for a few more minutes even if we were on the hard, dusty ground. Any way we had to get those beasts and you know what they say the early bird catches the worm.     “These tracks are fresh they must have been here lately” said a young man studying the floor. “Must’ve been ear while we was a sleeping.”       “Then lets pick our place up and then there won’t be long till we find em” commanded the leader his tatty straw had shadowing his dark blue eyes (but only just!)It wasn’t long after when a gust of wind picked up and the tracks disappeared and two men had two turn back because they hadn’t packed any water since they thought we were only going to take half a day to find and kill. But I was well prepared and so were the four other people with there big back packs.
