VIP comes to Hope School

Lembit Opik at our Achievement Assembly
On Monday 22nd September, a very important person came to Hope School at 10:00 am. He was called Lembit Opik MP, a person who works for Powys, (Wales), and he also he works for all the children who live in Powys. The children were in a middle of a French lesson when Lembit came. He told the children that he went to Paris for a year, and that they have very nice people there. Lembit said If the English speak in English there, they will try and speak your language, but if the English try and speak French, they will be delighted, and help you. He also came to Hope School Achievement Assembly. Lembit came with Mrs Yetta Littlehales, (chair of governor) and three other councillors. Lembit came to Hope School because he wanted to look at it and commented that Hope School was a nice school with nice children and teachers. By Julia Rose Pomfret
