SCHOOL LIBRARY SERVICE VISIT – 13.01.12
15 01 2012Robin from the School Library Service visited us today with over 3,000 books on the mobile van. He kindly came into our Assembly and shared his passion for reading and why reading is important to him. He answered many of the children’s questions and he was very impressed by their knowledge and understanding of a range of texts. Each class then took it in turns to go onto the van to choose books for themselves and the class. Non-fiction books were very popular with the topics ranging from animals to astronauts, transformers to transport and a whole host of others in between.
