Anti Bullying Week

It’s Anti-bullying week! Class 1 and 2 have been looking at friendship and how we can all work together to prevent bullying. Children have made posters, websites and leaflets.

Friday 19th October is Everybody Writes day and Hope School have been asked to be part of the very first one.

We’re all off to the nearby Stiperstones to use the fantastic surroundings for inspiration!

We’ll put our work on the blog of course!



Video tips for parents

Backpage is a new resource from the BBC for parents of primary school aged children.

The site comprises of a large collection of video clips with practical suggestions and help for parents to support children from Reception to Year 6 in English and Maths.

I’d be interested to hear the views of any parents who may have visited the site. (I’ll keep the link on Delicious - our growing collection on useful links found on the right of this page)



Links with Belarus

We welcomed headteacher Maryia Vialichka and Sergei Chybrykau to our school to develop and deepen our link with the Krasnaya Sloboda school in Belarus.

We have set up a blog between our two schools to enable our pupils to keep in touch. (More on this in September).

Grace Darling - Report writing by Year 2

Two hundred year ago ,there lived nine brothers and sisters. One night there was a grate storm. One of the sisters was caled Grase Darling. In the distans she saw a ship.
Her dad said that ship is caled the s.s.for farshir.
Then they saw it was sinking. They went out to sea in a rowingbote. When they got closer they saw nine svives on the roks. Her dad swam to the roks and saved all nine sales.
They swam back to the rowingbote. They rowed back to land.
