Anne Frank: A young woman
Anne Frank was a young German Jewish girl who immigrated to Holland. When the war started her and her family were forced to go into hiding.
Everyday life
Anne Frank was born in 1929 and was a German Jew. She had one sister called Margot. She first started her diary one her thirteenth birthday. In July 1942 she was forced to go into hiding with her family and some other people (Mrs van daan Mr van daan and Peter van daan.) The place that the Frank family went into hiding in was called the secret annexe its door way was hidden by a bookcase.
Found!
In 1944 the Germans found the secret annexe and arrested the people in it. Anne and her sister Margot were transferred to a concentrated camp in Germany. Mrs Frank (Enid Frank) died in Auschwitz-Birkenau in Germany 6th January a 1945 starvation and exhaustion. Anne and Margot were transported from Auschwitz in October to Bergen-Belsen near Hanover Germany. Margot died from poor hygiene and a few days later Anne died. Anne and Margot’s bodies were dumped in Bergen-Belsen. The only one of the Franks that survived was Mr Frank (Otto Frank) he survived the concentrate camps. Otto was allowed back into Amsterdam in 3rd June 1945 and he later moved to Basle in Switzerland where he meets his next wife Elfriede Markovits. Otto then for filled Anne’s dream and published his daughter’s diary. Anne and her family had a huge affect on the world maybe because she had such a traumatised past maybe because we was so young. Anne Franks diary has sold millions of copy’s world wide.
