Blog rules

Class 2 developed some simple rules to make sure blogging is fun and safe.

Visitors are asked to keep to our rules.

  1. Don’t give out your address or phone number or any personal details
  2. Only use your first name
  3. Don’t put pictures of yourself or others on the blog
  4. Use appropriate language
  5. Try your best with spelling, but it doesn’t have to be totally perfect.
  6. Don’t be rude or horrible about anyone or anyone’s work
  7. Use two stars and a wish to make a comment on how someone can make a piece of work better. It’s good to have nice things written about our work.
  8. Respect other people’s opinions.
  9. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the Blog
  10. Remember from our RE lessons, you’ve got to be a friend to have a friend. Go and visit other schools to see what they’re up to (as well as ours.)

hello Class 2 at Hope.
We think your blogging rules are excellent, sensible and a good range. They have given us some good ideas for ours. We have only just started blogging.

Hi Hope CE Primary School,

I think it is great that you have a tab for blog rules-makes the expectations clear and everyone can get on with the positive things that blogging has to offer. I am a teacher in Australia and would like to start up a class room blog and this helps as a model for me . Can I use it as an example please?

Thanks Ms T.

Hi Class 2,

I think your Blog rules are fantastic and I hope you don’t mind but I intend to use them as a guide for establishing our own Blog rules at Arnold Hill School. I have only just started setting up our Blog but please feel free to take a visit if you have any time later on in the year and let us know what you think.

Hello.

Fantastic work on the blog rules Class 2. Would it be ok if I borrowed them? I am talking to the other teachers at my school tomorrow about using blogs and would like to show them the rules you have made.

I hope that is ok.
Thank you!
